The Georgia Chiropractic Neurology Center is pleased to announce that Dr. Marc Ellis will be teaching at this year’s National Convention for the American Black Chiropractic Association. Dr. Ellis, who also teaches at the preeminent Carrick Institute, will be speaking on several topics including Traumatic Brain Injury, Headaches and Whiplash due to motor vehicle accidents.
Dr. Ellis has more than 20 years teaching experience and combines Chiropractic, Neuromuscular Therapy and Functional Neurology into his own unique system of health care. An Associate Professor with the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies, Dr. Ellis is an internationally renowned lecturer in his field. The Carrick Institute, founded by Dr. Ted Carrick, PHD, is committed to providing students with the highest standards in patient care, innovation and education.
The American Black Chiropractic Association was founded in 1981 by Dr. Bobby Westbrooks, whose vision was to empower African American doctors and students in chiropractic care. Taking notice that there was a low enrollment of African American and other minority students in the field of chiropractic care, Dr. Westbrooks recognized the need for minority support services in the chiropractic profession and the American Black Chiropractic Association was born. With just a handful of doctors, the ABCA held their first convention, with 17 people in attendance. Over the years, that number has grown exponentially and each year brings together a growing number of doctors, students and supporters of the chiropractic field. This years’ convention will be held at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada from June 27-29.
